OR IS IT...
After building most of the folly, we came to a stop and just never got round to going back to complete it! But since we have quite a bit of work to do in the garden, we decided to have what we needed for several different jobs delivered at the same time to save on delivery costs.
Which meant that while we tried to decide which style of water/pond feature we wanted to have, Paul was able to go and complete the folly walls while I started on removing the geraniums and other plants that had self-seeded into the inside area.

The metal candle holders finally fitted to the now higher wall and the glass put back into place. The plaque in the middle has also been raised up now the walls higher.
The piece of old wood we just left to make a shelf across the fireplace as finally been replaced with a nice level piece and fixed in place.
so finished.. well, it would be apart from the fact that in the years it's taken us to get round to it, we have now decided to put in another folly wall with window on the other side of the arch way between the arch and the lych gate, but that's for another day, the pond's next!
