Time to get the floor area in the folly sorted. we have used some old heavy paving that was here when we moved in years ago. They have been laid on weed suppressant, we don't walk in this area, so it doesn't need to be perfectly laid.
We had to level the inside up to the archway.
This part we did use sand on to help bed them in. We also took a trip to the garden centre to get some ferns and other plants suitable for the area.
You can see how the area does get a nice bit of sun.
We had the old fire grate from before we used to have in the house years back when we had an open fire, but we put in a proper fitted fireplace and this we left out in our garden. Now it's come in useful for our fake fireplace in the folly.
So, all planted up, gravel covering the planted area.
Viewed from the other side through the lych gate.
We will add some logs to the grate, so bugs etc can use them for shelter.
So next we have to put up the two metal wall feature lights and raise the plaque above the fireplace, now the wall is higher. Then a new shelf to replace the twisted piece of wood just left there years back.
Then it will be finished for now.
