TIDYING THE BEDS

Paul's been out yesterday weeding the two flower beds in the flower garden that we edged last year.
We also bought some manure and there was an offer on bags of bark chippings, so purchases some of those too.

One of the beds after his hard work.

The second bed, we have moved a tree peony and Magnolia into this bed.

So now the other two beds need bring up to this standard.

Paul today in the freezing cold!! Starting work on the third bed in the flower garden that's got very overgrown over the winter months. This bed will also need the brick edging once it's been cleared.I was hoping to re-fence this area to match the other side but there are several other jobs in the garden that require our funds first, the workshop roof and the compost area to name just two!
So we'll restain the fencing that's already there until we get a chance to change it, which we'll probably be in the autumn due to the fact that all the flowers will be starting to grow and we won't want to disturb them.

  1. So brave of Paul in this cold wind BUT pleased to see such an interesting view of a 'man at work!'
Super neat and tidy flower boarder/s too Still too cold though for me to venture out for more than a few minutes at a time.
    Edgings are looking good.
