TIDYING AND PATH'S

Paul spent some time in the garden, re potting things and moving some pots into new places and tidying the area we call The Cloisters, which is the raised area in front of the workshop.

We have put the wooden bench here now we no longer need it down by the house.Paul's re potted and split some of the Hosta's.

Paul's placed two of our larger pots of Hosta's either side of the stone urn. you can see that on the left by the workshop are several more pots of Hosta's.

We have moved the two stone trellis pots up to this area to replace the Abulalon's which used to stand along here and are now in the Formal box garden to the right.

Next up we have to replace the path from the end of this overgrown brick path to the gate over to the left top.

The path is well overgrown and needs to be replaced.

So we have four weeks to take up and relay this path, so we started late on Sunday taking up the first few paving slabs and the bricks that edged it.

We are going to lay a wide path with a black blog edging.

We will reuse the old pavings and bricks elsewhere in the garden. Now we just need , time, energy and good weather!!

More photo's as and when the path gets going!

  1. The garden really is looking lovely Dee, (and Paul too of course!) and it seems to have come on in leaps and bounds recently, you've obviously been very busy!
I look forward to seeing the path when it's all finished :)
    Big hugs xxx

    1. Part's don't take too much effort to look good , where others involve a lot of work, like the new path we really have needed for a few years, so glad it's finally getting done! :) xx

  2. The Cloister's area is looking very attractive now and when sitting on that bench you can get a super view of the formal box garden (which has to be my favouirite part of your garden this year.)
