So during winter if the weather is not too bad, its a good time to do a few landscape type jobs, while the plants are sleeping.
We had an Akebia growing on the trellis behind the stone pot which made a nice green backdrop
but it was getting too big and rampant.
So late last year we removed all the growth and cleared the area.
Although we could have left the trellis open and waited for the plant to regrow if we don't
remove the root completely.
However we decided we did not want to see through into the folly.
So we have put up a fence to hide the folly and make a backdrop to end of the cloisters.
Deciding to do this allowed us to straighten up the corner by adding another fence post. Paul also
had to buy the wood to make up the fence panel which was an odd side. This is the panel fixed in place.
The cloisters side showing the new fencing tidying up the area. Once the spring arrives we will look at improving the look of this area.
So the folly side now matched the panel with trellis we put in about a year ago .
Seen from the folly doorway.
So one job down and who knows how many more to do, it's a garden so never ending !
