you can see here just how big the flowers on this Brugmansia are.
big yellow trumpets
The other two also have flower buds but as yet quite small, will show them once they flower.
This plant does very well my the gate and is around twelve years old, we brought it with us from our last house.
We also have this variegated leaf Jasmine with tiny pink flowers further along the trellis in the flower garden which is also flowering.
There is another white up by the house and two cream ones, one in the formal garden on the trellis and the second in the house garden on the fence.
These plants on the side table are flowering well also.

I've finally had to move my two white flower Jasmines from the two planters either side of the conservatory doors as they weren't producing enough flowers to provide the perfume that I was hoping for to waft into the conservatory or fill the air around the patio table.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the move into the actual garden borders has sent them into a meltdown and they have now shed most of their leaves. Will await to see what happens next year once they have hopefully settled down in their new positions.
On a more positive note I did, as you and Paul suggested, on my indoor orchid (that had lost all it's previous flowers and so was now basically just a bare forlorn stick above the cluster of leaves )and removed the original transparent plastic plant pot from it's outter ceramic pot and after a good several months it put out two new shots, one from the bottom by the leaves and one near the top of the twig, which have both grown buds that are now about to flower. So many thanks for this info.
The should recover Kendal if you make sure they get plenty of water if it's dry.
DeleteSo glad that your Orchid is now flowering again :)
