OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

So Today was the day! Finally we opened our garden along with thirteen others in the village. The day started damp with rain in the air but by 12 noon . opening time, it had vanished to leave just light grey cloud and over the next six hours the weather warmed up with the sun breaking through just a couple of times but then the sky filled with greyer clouds and a cool wind arrived making the last hour very chilly but still people arrived to walk round.

I took lots of photo's before we opened , so get yourself a cup of tea or coffee or something stronger if you prefer and settle in for a mammoth set of photos.

 We were garden number 10.

We placed a few extra pieces of paving stone so people could get into the front garden to walk round.

Then next photo's are of the front garden.

It all went beautifully, it stayed dry if cold and cloudy at times, we had several hundred visitors despite the weather, we had many lovely conversations with the visitors about the garden and the plants in it.
So now we can go back to carrying on the changes still to come in our ever changing garden.

  2. So much to see and take in. Just love all the different rooms and areas that you have created.
Can now put everything into it's position and place and would know my way around really well thanks to the photos from the upstairs bedroom.

So pleased that you had so many visitors but a pity that the weather wasn't just that little bit warmer and brighter on the day.

  3. The humans, kids, bears and hedgehogs of Bryn Derw are clapping furiously.

Hurrah for the ENGLISH GARDENERS and their wonderful garden, not to mention the succesful day!!

I used to read the cereal packs at breakfast when I was a child but this is the first morning n many decdes that somebody has told me to stop looking at pictures (yours) and get on with my eggs before they got cold. Just couldn't stop scroling up and down for another look.

Once again congratulations to you both on the most lovely of gardens. Move over Royal horticultural Society - Paul and Dee have a few things to teach you!

    1. Thank you kindly :)
Sorry that we made your eggs go cold by putting on so many photo's, it was hard to leave any out if we wanted you to see everything.

I would not dare push the RHS out the way especially when people were asking the name of certain flowers and I had to send them off to ask Paul because I could not remember!! :)

You have so many lovely features in your garden and I'm sure your visitors were charmed.
Hopefully now you'll be able to go out and sit on some of those great seats and enjoy the view!
